I created this piece in Illustrator. It has a quote from the introduction of my favorite science fiction novel,
Ender's Game. I used the flare tool to get the "glowing" look in the center and upper right corner. After that, I used simple shape tools for the background (rectangle) and the dots surrounding the center flare (ellipse). I then used the text tool or place tool to enter the text.
